In contrast to the Vario the Vario-W is a weight based grinder dosing by weight rather than dosing on a time basis. It will produce fantastic flavors from your coffee beans. Put the beans directly into your espresso machine after grinding and be assured you will get the best extraction ever.
Grind Settings: The Baratza Vario-W displays an impressive range of capabilities with its 230 precise and repeatable grind settings alternating from course grinds to fine grind. It offers macro and micro adjustment for distinct settings. The macro adjust slides from espresso to press pot in 10 distinct and repeatable settings, while the secondary micro adjust further divides each of the 10 macro steps into 20 distinct settings. This enables you to pull the perfect shot.
Control Panel: Digital timers and user-programmable buttons leave little room for inaccuracy. The digital control panel has an LED display which is simple and intuitive. The Baratza Vario-W has three programmable buttons which allow for grind setting with an accuracy to within 0.1 grams. By simply pressing the START button, the Baratza Vario-W will automatically deliver exact dosing.
Burrs: The high quality ceramic flat burrs give you an extra accurate grind and is twice as sharp as the best steel burrs. The Portaholder allows for hands-free grinding, directly into a portafilter and the burrs are easily removed for cleaning without the use of tools, making cleanup time easy.
Included with the Baratza Vario-W is an easily accessible front mounted control unit, the exclusive Baratza Portaholder and an 5oz. grounds bin.
